Letitia has more than 16 years experience in tourist. A graduate of Sligo Institute of Technology with a Degree in Business Studies (Marketing) and National Diplomas in Event Management, PR and European Business, Letitia started working with Fáilte Ireland (Irelands National Tourism Development Authority) in 2001, promoting and selling Ireland as a leisure tourism destination. Having quickly decided this was the industry for her, Letitia worked her way up in regional tourism. Selling Ireland, and particularly the West of Ireland, to an international audience, became a true passion.
Following a move from Leisure Tourism to the agency’s Business Tourism & Events Division, gaining experience in the Events Ireland team and the Business Tourism Unit, a subsequent promotion followed in 2015, and Letitia now heads up the International Conferences Team for the agency, under its Meet in Ireland brand. Tasked with growing Irelands share of the international association conferences sector, the teams remit is national, supporting conferences throughout Ireland under their Conference Ambassador Programme, by supporting Ambassadors from bid stage to event operations on the ground, and everything in between……. In 2016, her team was responsible for working with 169 conference ambassadors and supporting their efforts to secure Association Conferences for Ireland up to the year 2025, that if all secured, would deliver a combined 93,000 delegates, valued at €140m.
Letitia lives in her native Galway City, on the West coast of Ireland, with her Husband Paul and their young daughter.
