As the former residence of the Lord Mayor of Cardiff, Mansion House continues to be used for civic events and corporate functions throughout the year.
The interior has retained much of its original features, with grand rooms and a fine staircase, inlaid woodwork and beautiful stained glass windows. On the first floor are The Lord Mayor’s private apartment and four en-suite guest bedrooms, which have hosted distinguished visitors including former prime ministers David Lloyd George and Winston Churchill, opera singer Adelina Patti, and even King George V.
