The International Cytokine & Interferon Society (ICIS) is the world’s largest multidisciplinary organisation advancing both fundamental and clinical research specific to the role of cytokines in health and disease. In 2021, they organised a major international medical conference hosted in a hybrid format.

The international convention brought together fans of the award-winning All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness, who met to discuss themes in the books, as well as the TV adaptation, “A Discovery Of Witches”.

The National LGBT+ Police Network hold annual conferences at venues across the UK. The Welsh region, made up of all 4 Welsh forces volunteered to organise the 2019 conference focused on wellbeing and mental health within the police service, with a specific focus on LGBT+ matters.

This biennial event was held in Cardiff Bay, chosen for its proximity to the Cardiff International White-Water Centre. Incorporating both a conference and exhibition the event was centred around an opportunity for the instructors to renew their accreditation in water, rope and boat rescue techniques.

The 15th international symposium on hyphenated techniques in chromatography and separation technology is a biennial event that includes a multi-stream conference, exhibition, networking and a gala dinner.  It usually takes place in Belgium but moved to Cardiff in 2018.
