Transformative developments

ATLANTIC WHARF

Atlantic Wharf is undergoing significant redevelopment, including the construction of a new 15,000-seat arena, which will enhance Cardiff’s status as a premier destination for entertainment and business events. The wider development of Atlantic Wharf will see hotel, residential and commercial developments, as well as housing a cutting-edge digital first performance venue for the Wales Millennium Centre, which will include a 550-capacity space dedicated to immersive experiences, facilities for production, rehearsal and training.

CENTRAL SQUARE

A landmark redevelopment project in the heart of Cardiff, Central Square has transformed the area around Cardiff Central Station into a bustling business and media hub. The development includes modern office spaces, such as One Central Square, and serves as the headquarters for major organisations, contributing significantly to the city’s economic growth.

CENTRAL QUAY

A transformative 6.5-hectare mixed-use development located immediately south of Cardiff Central Station, Central Quay is set to become a vibrant destination featuring hotels, offices, luxury apartments, a university campus, and a riverfront leisure area with bars and restaurants. The project aims to seamlessly blend Cardiff’s industrial heritage with modern urban living, enhancing the city’s appeal as a place to live, work and play.

ST DAVID’S DEWI SANT

Landsec’s St David’s Dewi Sant project represents a significant investment in Cardiff’s retail and leisure sector. Landsec’s developments typically focus on creating dynamic spaces that combine shopping, dining, and entertainment, enhancing the city’s attractiveness to both residents and visitors.

DEPOT

Cardiff’s ultimate warehouse events space, home to festivals, screenings, themed parties, live music, and more. They have been hired by industry-leading businesses for corporate events, beer festivals, catwalk shows, and international film shoots. Since 2015, they have created their own exciting events, including Ginstock, Hip Hop Karaoke, Pizza & Prosecco, and the Friday night sell-out, BINGO LINGO. They continue to innovate and are proud to be part of Cardiff’s booming creative scene.

PAR 59 & ELEVENS BAR & GRILL

Par 59 brings competitive mini golf to Cardiff city centre, featuring two custom-built nine-hole courses alongside casual dining and socialising. Elevens, located opposite Cardiff Castle, offers the best sports viewing experience with 20 4K HD TVs, surround sound, and a stadium-like atmosphere. With a fantastic range of food, drinks, and walls of exclusive memorabilia, Elevens Bar & Grill provides an unparalleled sports bar experience.

PARKWAY

A major infrastructure development in St Mellons featuring a new mainline train station and an integrated 900,000 sq ft business park. The development will offer direct rail links from East Cardiff and Newport city centres in just seven minutes, along with mainline services to Bristol, London, and beyond. The project aims to drive growth, attract investment, and contribute to the regeneration of East Cardiff and the wider Cardiff Capital Region.

TIGER YARD

Tiger Yard is a vibrant outdoor food court with six permanent street food kitchens and two purpose-built bars. Constructed using 22 rainbow-coloured shipping containers for bars, kitchens, toilet blocks, and seating areas, it can accommodate 1,000 guests at a time. Located in the heart of Cardiff Bay, Tiger Yard offers great street food, drinks, and entertainment.

ABOUT MEET IN CARDIFF

The team manages the official Cardiff Convention Bureau providing an impartial, professional and free service to help and support the business event organiser. Meet In Cardiff is one of the partners in the Cardiff Business Events Partnership. The active partnership addresses how Cardiff can develop further to provide a great place to meet, showcasing the city as a prime destination for business events.

Services are all free of charge and include:

Venue finding and developing the delegate experience
Securing best accommodation rates and allocations
Providing an easy to use, bespoke accommodation booking service for delegates
Introductions to local suppliers and best packages to support your event
Support to prepare Bid documents and presentations
Providing marketing materials to promote Cardiff to future delegates
Arranging site visits and advice on virtual tours
Event marketing, PR and social media support
Local expertise and industry knowledge
